The Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 by Oris features a fully skeletonised movement, inspired by the spirit of Calibre 110. Traditionally, skeletonisation showcased a watchmaker’s skills, but this movement aimed to reconnect people with the inner workings of the watch. The Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 proudly displays its internal mechanisms, leaving nothing hidden. Even the barrel at 12 o’clock is skeletonised, allowing for a view of the extended mainspring. As the crown is wound, the mainspring coils tighter and tighter until it is fully wound, providing 10 days of continuous power. The Oris Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 is equipped with an in-house developed calibre that has a 10-day power reserve and features an Oris-patented non-linear power reserve indicator. This indicator accurately displays the remaining power as it approaches the time to wind the watch. The hand-wound Calibre 115 movement is operated through a single crown and delivers an exceptional 240-hour power reserve, compared to the average two-day power reserve of most mechanical watches. This prolonged power reserve is made possible by a mainspring coiled in a single oversized barrel, visible at 12 o’clock. The power reserve is indicated by an Oris-developed and patented non-linear power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock, offering greater accuracy as the time to wind the watch nears.
